Allard Pierson interview and show René van
Beek (curator Allard Pierson museum) and I met in the basement of
the academy 6 months after I loaned the sculptures from their
collection. We had a discussion about the rise and fall of a
collection and the responsibilities of an institution to tell the
story. The film was on display in the “Verhalenkabinet” at the
Allard Pierson from April-July2024. Shown next to a display of
plaster fragments and a text panel written by René.
