Initially interested in addressing the notion of painting and
observation of how a romantic landscape has changed. In these early
works using webcams hinted to the idea of a digital age. The
geographical location wasn't of significance to me, the aesthetic
quality and mundanity of these unchanging scenes attracted me. The
surface of these works are heavily layered and abstracted giving
disconnection from the process of painting within the works, and
disconnection from the landscape as a source.
